At Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, Italian specialist manufacturer of high-performance luxury yachts and full custom aluminum projects OTAM unveiled the new OTAM 70HT. The yacht boasts a one-off design by Giuseppe Bagnardi BG Design Firm, and bespoke engineering and hull lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design.
With an overall length of 22.30 meters, a beam of 5.40 meters and 21 degrees of deadrise, the OTAM 70HT offers seaworthiness, unrivaled space, and great comfort for a fast luxury cruiser of her size. OTAM engineers paid strong attention to the low center of gravity, the large air intakes on the sides of the sundeck in the bow, as well as on the hardtop. All air intakes convey into the spacious engine room, and the exhaust vents are integrated into glossy black grilles in the aft bulwarks either side of the swim platform.
The first OTAM 70HT features a cockpit and salon with sofa seating along the port side for hosting large groups. There is an up-and-down electric glass screen that separates the interior lounge and exterior cockpit. The glazing completely retracts between the two C-shaped sofas and, when lowered, opens up the interior and cockpit to allow owner and guests interact whether they are inside or outside. The new 70HT features a sunbed on top of the transom tender garage together with a second generous volume sunbed on the foredeck.
Inside, Giuseppe Bagnardi BG Design Firm has designed the futuristic dashboard which is inspired by the aeronautical and automotive world. The yacht features a 3-cabin layout with an owner’s suite, two guests, a separate galley, and a crew cabin for two in the bow with independent access. Clients can specify their own layout and interior solutions with limitless customization options available.
Although the first unit is powered by twin 2000-hp MTU engines coupled to Arneson drives and custom OTAM-Rolla propellers, the shipyard also offers a most powerful version with 2400hp CAT, reaching a top speed of 53+ knots which, combined with the hull designed by Marine Design by Scorzoni Tagliavini and Moltedo, ensures an unparalleled efficiency. Seakeeper gyro stabilizers can be fitted for best comfort both underway and at anchor.
